Mixed Media
My paintings are usually a mixture of Mixed Media products. Mixed media is when two or more techniques are applied on one painting.
I mostly start off with Acrylic paint to cover the surface in an abstract background, then sometimes add a collage by gluing different materials (usually photos I have taken) onto the canvas, next I apply spray paint to blend the collage into the background.
If I want to add more texture to the painting, I will apply line drawings, usually pen, pencil or oil pastel to enhance the effect. This is drawing fine or thick straight or curved lines to create depth or direction. Finally, I use oil paint to add the main features to the Art Work.
